Acute & Chronic Pain

Acute pain such as a headache, muscle ache, sprain or strained ligament or tendon as well as toothaches are commonly treated with acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen (Motrin) as well as other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, steroids (cortisone) and sometimes even narcotics such as codeine and its many derivatives.

With our newly formulated nanosuspension that has been successfully tested in the animal model, RH Nano believes there will be a shift to using our product as a one time or “as needed” oral suspension. Our tests suggest that as little as ½ ounce (less than the amount of cream in a “moo mini cup” might give relief as fast if not faster the a Motrin Gel Cap. Clinical studies are being planned to go head to head with Motrin gel caps.

As our product has a 111 year history of unsurpassed safety, RH Nano believes strongly that this nanosuspension will be the new anti-inflammatory for the world of acute pain.

In chronic pain, there is a significant percentage of patients who are opioid addicted. Be it from failed back surgery or having a dose of a narcotic after a dental procedure, the stage is often set to lead to a life of narcotic dependency.

Our drug has been mainly studied for relief of chronic pain such as seen in degenerative osteoarthritis as well as the crippling rheumatoid arthritis.

With 111 years of safety and efficacy using salsalate for such chronic pain, RH Nano believes our reformulation as well as the “old faithful” standard tablets of 750 mg salsalate taken as 2 tablets twice a day along with a serum level of salicylic acid to ensure compliance and a “therapeutic zone” should be very soon FDA approved if all goes according to plan.
